You're saying this doesn't have a use? People seem to love, and buy these for a reason. Maybe it's just not for you!?

Which adapter do you use to connect your W60 to cell phone? I'm talking about usb C to a 3.5 mm adapter. Thanks!

The W60 has the same MSRP as the Shure SE846, and should be on the same level playing ground. It is less fatiguing than the Shure, and fits better for most people, has a more warm sound. It's all a matter of taste in the end, but at this price it's absolutely a steal.

I've never had super high end IEMs, I imagine they don't really compare to good headphones in sound quality?

I use a pair of Fidelio X2 daily, and use an HD598 sometimes because I have a short cable for it, and used to use ATH-M50 but I consider it to be pretty bad.

I imagine these IEMs sound very clean with good separation, but I can't imagine the soundstage being very big. Or maybe these sound even better than good $150-$200 headphones?

Correct. There would nearly be zero soundstage for in-ear monitors. These will sound accurate, rather than 'good' or bad, which is really subjective.

I don't know if "accurate" is the right word - westones are known for their warm "fun" sound. I REALLY enjoy listening to my music, they have this very slight coloration that makes listening easy and energetic, for the lack of a better word.

I honestly prefer these IEMS to things like the Senn 598. Just a different listening experience and much easier to bring around.

I just got the B50s. The MMCX cable has no remote, which is a bit of a bummer because I had to buy one. I briefly tried the bluetooth adapter and while it sounded pretty good, volume was weak and I had mystery drop-outs, which I rarely experience with other bluetooth earphones. All the reviews say this iteration of bluetooth module is lousy, and I see no reason to disagree. I am still trying the get the right tip but they give you plenty of options including different depths, which I appreciate. No tax in CA, UPS ground took 4-5 days. I like the sound but I am just starting to learn what decent IEMs are all about so my opinion on that subject is worthless.

I'm a complete newbie to IEMs but I definitely get the sense of the instruments in different "physical" positions in my head, and the instruments are separate such that you can focus on any one of them versus just hearing a "blend" of sound. Much like I might focus on individual musicians in a band playing live. My Audeze iSine 10s are even better at that but they have other tradeoffs (bulky, open).

Westone actually started UE along with Jerry Harvey. They are one of the original players in the IEM game and make very good quality, ultra comfortable and super coherent phones that tend to be a little on the warm side of neutral. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westone#History

I had w4's back in the day alongside IE8's and preferred the former. Recently picked up the current gen w40s and am enjoying them all over again. Bluetooth cable bundled has been rock solid for me so far with pixel 3.

I received the w40 v2 from Adorama's last amazing deal. While it sounded great, was bit let down that my nicehck nx7 pro actually sounded better in detail retrieval, mids, and sub region. Would say the w40 beats nx7 pro in soundstage, even sounding wider than many closed back headphones. And also the Westones are the most comfortable iems Ive worn. But shocking that a $100 nx7 pro can out perform the $499 w40 v2 in musicality. Now just hoping the Nx7 quality control can hold up as in the past, Chinese products have been known to be incredibly risky. But so far so good.
