That is because they are two different model years. Weber has had the "E-310" in rotation since 2017, so there is the 2017 model, 2018 model, and 2019 model.

61010001 is the 2018 model, while 61011001 is the 2019 model. Home Depot.com is using the 2019 photo for both model years which is incorrect, the 2018 model is slightly different design-wise from the 2019 model.

The website doesn't show clearance prices, you need to go into the store, but refer to Brickseek first, which is generally accurate, but not 100%. The 2018 model actually went on clearance in the early Fall and got down under $300.

The 2019 model is starting to hit clearance now, as the 2020 models will be hitting stores in late winter/early spring. While $480 is a good price, you can do better. Not all stores have the same clearance price at the same time, and once a product hits a clearance price, the price comes down about every 3-4 weeks and I believe they come down in $50 increments.

DO NOT CALL THE STORE. One of the biggest mistakes SD'ers do is call the store. Doing that is a waste of time, not only because you are dealing with staff who is generally busy and won't actually look for it, but they rely on most of the time looking on the website and determining if they have it or not. However the biggest thing is if the employee verifies the model and clearance price you now run the risk of the employee saying "Oh we are out of stock" when they may have it, and then the employee buys for themselves or calls a family/friend to come in and buy. If people want the deal, they need to sometimes get into the store and go into sleuth-mode and find it themselves. Home Depot has grills in their boxes generally up high, sometimes in the garden center, other times in the store itself.

Sometimes a price doesn't show up, it will just say "Clearance". In that case go into the store that is in your area and ask an employee to look it up, not on the website, but via the handheld device they have to scan an item. First find the grill in question and make sure you find the correct one and then have an employee scan it. Chances are since they are hitting clearance its probably $480 at this time but will drop as they go unsold.

In my experience, just look up the UPC in the scanning feature on the Home Depot app, then select the store you saw on Brickseek to see the price.

Finally bit. Not the great deal like some are getting for the E310 in other places, but in SoCal we rarely see deals as we grill year-round.

i mean, really without even knowing what the price could be its sort of a random crapshoot.

the point of a site like this is so that people aren't aimlessly wandering through EVERY store. Without really ANY info this doesn't help. I've checked around and the pricing is completely random without any way whatsoever of tracking it down other than going into every home depot.

this is essentially a unproven, random, rumor of sorts. please provide ACTUAL information. what you've provided above just points to vague nuances of maybeness.

Sometimes getting the best deal is going out and doing the searching on your own, not waiting around and expecting someone else to do that and posting up on Slickdeals. Sure it helps when people do that for others, and I have benefited from it but also I have provided plenty of deals in the past as well, but some people tend to not want to lift a finger and do any work to contribute but they certainly enjoy the benefits. Also, since you don't seem to understand how Home Depot pricing works, not all stores have the same price at the same time. Clearance prices go in stages, and when they change for stores in your area could be a completely different time than other stores so posting up prices would be a mute point because what may $480 at one store could be $430 at your store. Also, if you didn't already know, when it comes to Home Depot, some of the time the clearance prices don't show up on Brickseek, they sometimes will only say "Clearance Price" which requires a person to go to their store. If my posting doesn't help you, then you simply don't understand that it is to provide helpful tips, not actual prices for your area.

So posting exact prices could actual have a negative impact on you because you may see a price and expect it at your store once you go in there, only to find it could be higher, or even lower which naturally would be a good thing. My posting did provide actual information in the form or advice on what to do and what not to do. I am sorry I can't hold a person's hand the entire way, nobody did it for me, I did it myself. I still manage to find deals that SD says have expired or out of stock because I dont rely 100% on what others say or what sites like Brickseek says. Now I can understand if someone doesn't want to drive hours to a store but at the end of they day nobody is forcing anyone to do anything, it all comes down to choice.

If you want your chances of finding something at a great price to increase, sometimes it takes a little bit of time and effort and not putting all your faith into what a website says, or a fellow users posts. If you are looking for a new BBQ at your local Home Depot, take the model number in, cross reference it with the SKU number, ask an employee what the current price is, and if on clearance, when it hit that price point Check back again within about 3 weeks and it probably will drop again, in the past they seem to drop in $50 increments. The longer you hold out, the greater the chance of getting it cheaper, but also the greater the risk of someone else grabbing it. If this info doesn't help you, then you are missing the point entirely. Good luck in your search!

I totally understand everything you're saying, i get it.

i've already been to a many lowes/HD and i've already put in the 'miles'

At this point i've got a store about an hour away with ~3 in stock on 'clearance' but then i found a store like 2.5 hours away with the 2018 model. i know i shouldn't have call but its far and i did. she said she couldn't find it.

its like, if its not even there what does brickseek or 'the price' matter?

I understand you're point too, the problem though with calling is chances are the employee will put you on hold, and maybe look where the assembled grills are, if they don't see it, they will just assume they don't have it and notify the customer without doing a more detailed search and in some cases, I can understand a customer service rep not doing a more detailed search as they have to answer the phones, help customers with returns, etc. But as you probably already know, the grills can also still be in the box and up on a rack away from where they keep assembled grills. Yes, in your case you don't have store close to you and that is the downside of it as well, those who live in areas where nearest stores are an hour or so away and I would agree, driving 2.5 hours (if that is just one) equates to a lot of time in the car and then running the risk of it not being there after that amount of driving would be beyond frustrating.

I will private message you some more info to keep this message short.

I was in my local HD (Hamilton Blvd., S Plainfield, NJ) last night and it's still selling at $480. Not sure how many is left though. The price is in the picture on the left.
