I stayed in a suite that has a kitchen, so I bought some noodle and rice and Lau Lau. Of course pineapples, also the tuna poke.

Plus the heli tour Costco sells is the best pricing I could find anywhere (available online as well), but make sure the company has availabilities during your stay

The local grocery stores sell various poke which are tasty and well priced, Times and Foodland are the names I believe.

We got a condo with a full kitchen so I think we will be cooking quite often. Thanks for the input!

For those not looking to spend as much on lodging in Maui, Kona has similar deals on Hawaiian Airlines for various dates up until May 2020. Costco is also right by the airport for those interested in picking up the island essentials.

Costco has nothing good for travel ...
They meant on the island. Everything is very expensive in Hawaii, so buying essentials at Costco is a huge money saver. Plus they do carry local items that are not available in mainland Costco's.

Is Kona much cheaper? I have hotel points/timeshare trades so hopefully not an issue...
