Would be considered a good, cheap, travel tripod

Wow. I can't imagine that thing being at all stable. And even the higher priced pistol grips are clunky. I wouldn't put anything expensive on top of this setup. Maybe good for a GoPro?

I got it for $75 3 years ago. Great travel tripod. The little base plate is easy to lose though!

I got all giddy when I saw a "manfrotto" Tripod for sub-40$ but did some reading on it and it seems this is a very budget version of the company's regular line. The little clips on the legs seem very flimsy, go look at one Amazon reviewer's post of how the small tab's plastic bits broke off after short use. On the flip side, people seem to love the "joystick" head for the camera mount.

I was going to buy this deal only to be able to say I had a manfrotto, but I'll be sticking to my budget tripod that has lasted me 5 years (Dolica TX570DS Ultra Compact Tripod with Professional Ball Head and Built-In Monopod (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00L6IU...aEbX54EHKN)

Funny, I moved from that exact Dolica to this exact Manfrotto!

The Dolica is heavier, that may be a good thing for some, but I find the small compact size of the Manfrotto - along with the single adjustment handle - to be a great choice for people like me to who have an ocassional use for a tripod (I am gonna say that is most people). The Dolica "leg screws" got filled with dirt and sand over time, the Manfrotto is much easier to open and close legs on.
