atsc 3.0 is coming all tv's without it will soon be cheap just like when HD came out

It won't.

ATSC 3.0 is realistically at least a year away, even in the largest markets. Even then, FCC is requiring 5 years of simultaneous ATSC 1.0 broadcasting. After that 5 year period, today's ATSC 1.0 tuners will become useless just like NTSC tuners became in the switch to ATSC.

No TVs currently support ATSC 3.0 and manufacturers have only announced tentative plans for limited support in 2020 models.

Unless you're looking at TV's with a buy-it-for-life mentality, MUST have OTA and don't get locals via a cable/satellite provider, and absolutely can't use a converter box, it's not a big deal and not going to result in a fire sale of displays.
