Received the pop-up while browsing the Ultimate Star Wars Book [amazon.com] posted earlier in the thread here by Bushman311.

The way I was able to view the deal was opening up Amazon via web browser (Chrome), switching to desktop view, and there should be a banner near the top of the page either advertising the deal or "Deals on great reads for 2020". Click the banner in either case, and you should get one or the other: straight-up $5 ebook credit or $5 credit after $20 ebook purchase.

I got both, the straight $5 credit was next to the kindle price of the star wars book and the $5 credit after $20 ebook purchase banner was on top.

Exactly the same here. I didn't get a pop-up, but I went to the menu and then "Year End Deals" and saw it in the mix. Hate reading electronic books so not sure if I'll use it.

No dice for me, but here's a link to Amazon's 'year-end-deals' some in this thread are talking about: https://www.amazon.com/year-end-deals/

I didn't see it through the methods described above. On Chrome on mobile (Android), clicked on a bunch of different ebooks, was still only seeing the $5 off $20. I stumbled onto a method that just worked, so I thought I would share. YMMV:

I went to main Amazon mobile menu (three bars at top left of app), clicked on "Shop by Department," then "Books," then "Kindle Books." On the Kindle Books splash page there were several tiles/banners. 4th one down is, "Here's a $5 ebook credit for you."

I hope that helps someone!

Did either of you even bother to read the original post? If yes, try reading slower, or maybe reading out loud.
