I had posted this as a comment in the similar Lowes thread, but thought it might be good as a standalone posting.

Amazon currently has the
WORX WG309 8 Amp 10" 2-in-1 Electric Pole Saw & Chainsaw with Auto-Tension on sale for $40.13.

Make sure you choose Amazon as the seller. As of this posting, they are the first ones in the list for $40.13.

Also, be sure to check your favorite CB site as lawn and garden (I think) are one of the few categories that Amazon allows you to get CB for.

Enjoy!

50 bucks at Lowes is still half price on these. Well worth it, and usually at 40 something you only see refurbs.

among all the worx tools for the price this one is the best for around the house cutting.

I got this item some time ago. My chain keeps coming undone. I have to stop cutting and retigthen to blade. It was getting annoying. Read the other bad reviews that mention this. I thought they just got a "bad one" but that is happening to me too. My 2 cents.

I bought this 6 months ago. I was able to cut a 4-5 inches tree with no issues. When using chainsaw with the pole is very heavy but get the job done.

I have the 8", I believe, works like a champ. I paid roughly this much for mine. I used it to cut an old tree stump.... I wouldn't recommend it for any heavy tasks like that. It had plenty of power but the chain kept popping off. For tree branches it cuts through like butter.
