This is an odd set. The P320 brad nailer is supposed to be a great tool and costs $99 by itself, but everything else is mediocre. It would be more tempting if they included the P705 LED light rather than the P704 halogen (which you can buy reconditioned for $3.50 at Direct Tools).

The cordless reciprocating saw and 18" brad nailer in and of itself justifies a buy. I purchased it about 10 minutes ago.

I'm also returning a $109.00 20V cordless Dewalt Reciprocating saw + battery + charger, that I purchased over Black Friday. It's just way too heavy and overboard for my needs. I'm a new DIY guy fixing things up in the house.

Brushed set, 5.5" circular saw. Just FYI. Seems like an ok deal if you're after the nailer anyway and anything else is useful to you.

Facts, with all these kits that go on sale this would be an odd choice. The nailer is pretty slick but the other tools are pretty meh. Not a bad deal but certainly not a deal to rush out and buy either.

Interesting combo is right. My opinion is that people would be better off buying the tools they need a la carte using the 3ah battery combo with free tool deal. I have that brad nailer and it's great, but the battery in this kit isn't great and the older non-brushless circular saw and reciprocating saw (and even the drill) are legacy.

Are items like the circular saw, brad nailer, recicprocating saw, and possibly even the batteries and charger typically easy sellers on CL for example?
I'm looking to get the drill driver and light essentially free. Should I expect to get $200 from selling most or all the other tools?

I don't see many low end tools in the aftermarket, you could see but there is no guarantee you would get your money back. The nailer would sell pretty quickly if you price it right but the rest are gonna be a tough sell.

Yeah that's kinda what I was concerned about.
I try to get too clever with fanagling a deal and end up screwing myself.

I didn't purchase this to resell some of it. At $199 + Free Shipping, it seems like a great beginner DIY's first kit. I'm currently remodeling my parent's old house - here and there. A lot of what I'm doing is completely new to me so I don't want to invest in more 20V Dewalt power tools. The cordless nailer and reciprocating saw (2 batteries + charger) is enough for me to pull the trigger. For the most part - other than a belt sander which I purchased already (WEN 7amps) and a leaf blower (Dewalt 20V 400CFM 90mph) - this is all I'll really need for enough projects to keep my hands full.

I really doubt it. I looked at eBay comps and you might clear $150 there after parting out the saws, nailer, batts/charger and getting bent over (as usual) with fees and shipping, and the only piece that looks like it moves quickly is the brad nailer. Best-case scenario CL guesses might be better, but I just don't think $200 is realistic. I think a person dead-set on this drill would be better off going the other way and just buying it on the secondary market. Looks like $30 open box on eBay, maybe wait for someone trying to dump a drill & light at $40-45. And you likely could get a better Ryobi drill there for not much more.

Then again, there have been enough 12-volt drill & driver kits at $99 in the last 2 weeks from the likes of Bosch, Milwaukee, and Makita, that talking about buying a bare tool Ryobi drill off fleabay for $30 right now isn't exactly easy to digest.

if you searched Ryobi on SD, you'd see some deals that take you to direct tools factory outlet (tools are legit, shipping though...best you don't actually need them in a jiffy), those 2 tools will cost you $30 refurbed, the portable light was $5 the last time I checked
