The charging port is poorly made and will stop working after repeated taking the charger in and out

I have this and like it but doesn't seem to charge as fast as a RavPower pad I have. Definitely an overnight charger for me. What's annoying is that in 2020 it uses a micro USB so I can't just unplug the pad and go straight into my phone for a true quick charge.

A slower charge for a battery that's designed to handle additional current when below a certain percentage does nothing but waste time.

Fast charge capable phones have intelligent charge controllers that don't keep the current at maximum once they reach roughly 10-15% of their total capacity.

It's more of a curved grade, which is why that last bit of charging to 100% takes comparatively longer.

As for hurting the battery, prolonged excessive heat is the worst, but that typically exceeds any temperature charging is capable of. If your phone is constantly hot, there's something wrong with the phone — not the charger.
Good info, thanks!

WTF is the point of selling these without an AC adapter? It's like buying a TV without a power cord. Is it so they can't be held responsible for melting your phone, or setting your house on fire?

Also to get the fast charging capabilities on these, you need a qc 2.0 or qc 3.0 charger.
NO DEAL IF NO AC ADAPTER INCLUDED

This isn't particularly true for the adaptive charging techs, and is nearly negligible on the lower power chargers that lack adaptive charging capability. Charging at anything below 2A of current on non-adaptive chargers isn't going to generate enough heat to noticeably degrade the batteries on _most_ current phones compared to 2A itself, which is pretty commonly the current that non-adaptive charging techs work at. The idea behind the adaptive charging techs isn't just to allow a quicker charger; it's to prevent the excess heat buildup as the battery approaches full.

Also, and this is entirely subjective, but I personally don't use the wireless stands like this for overnight charging. That's a time when the convenience of the angle the phone sits at is completely worthless to me. This kind of stand is what I would prefer at a desk. But, again, that's subjectivity.
I like the standing ones cause gravity keeps them in the charging location. I have a flat one also but every once in a while it doesn't get charged overnight cause of sleepy carelessness when putting it on the charger. But, this too, is very subjective.

As for charging, I know all the theory here and there about everything and how things should work, but when I fast charge my phone, it gets hot and when I use slower charging, it does not and that's enough reason for me to avoid it when I don't need it.

Agree, but I don't think any of the wireless chargers come with the adapter

If you'll notice, there is an operating range for these, because not every phone is capable of charging at 10w (iPhone, for instance).

Including an AC adapter that works for everyone would mean including the highest rated adapter available which is also compatible with every switching mode under the sun.

Last I checked, such an adapter that also supports QC 3.0 runs about $34. At which point you'd find that to complain about.

Also, your analogy is off the mark. A better one would be a TV that includes every input and smart functionality imaginable, and someone like you comes around to whine that there's nothing to watch.
