I'm trying to stay away from this thread but I just can't.

I'll just point out that you can buy the Maxpass later for $15 a day.
Maxpass includes digital version of your photos, don't expect them to print them for you.
Maxpass's advantage for getting Fast Passes is greatly reduced later in the day, and even before noon depending on the crowds. The first ones to go are Space Mountain.
Pay attention to the time you are allowed to make another selection; this is not necessarily the time that your fast pass becomes active, so set an alarm.

Be sure to get your free buttons if your're celebrating something. There are
Birthday, Celebrating, Graduation, Happily Ever After, First Time etc.

The Disney Play App has fun games to pass the time while your're waiting. It's got a lot of content for use in Galaxy's Edge. My daughter can spend hours there.
Of course you need a good portable battery pack.

FOOD
Black Tap is in Downtown Disney and you can take the Monorail from inside Disneyland to DD. Kids will enjoy the ride and you can ride the Monorail back. Just make them close their eyes before they see the Lego store.

you can do character dining at
The Plaza Inn for breakfast; reservations required. This can get you into the park early if you get an early enough reservation, then you can start making your fast pass selections sooner and avoid the crowd getting in to the park. So this and the magic morning and you're already into the park early twice.

More expensive options:
Goofy's Kitchen is at the Disneyland hotel. This is my kids favorite. It's a buffet and features (usually) Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale, Pluto, and sometimes Mickey.
The desserts are awesome.

There are other "fine dining" options, but this is slickdeals and I don't find them to be worth the time or money.

Our go-to's:
Disneyland, French Market, Hungry Bear(Fantasmic Package), Jolly Holiday. Carnation Cafe, Bengal Barbecue
Tiki Bar Dole Whip ( now also available at the Tropical Hideaway).

California Adventure, Lamp Lounge, Paradise Garden Grill
Ghirardelli

Toon Town closes at 8:30 PM.

There are two Fantasmic shows, the second is less packed,
Pirates of the Carribean usually has short lines during Fantasmic.

Astro Blasters
Targets from high to low value: Triangle, Diamond, Square, Circle.
be sure to email a your photo with score to yourself from the kiosks for free.

If you're using the days within the same week, you might as well get the 5 day tickets.

If you find yourself at the Red Rose Tavern, try the Grey Stuff. It's delicious.

Galaxy's Edge
If you want to go to Olga's Cantina, reservations are basically a Must.
Smugglers Run has a Single Riders cue. it's common that they put two single riders in together when there's a group of 4 and no group of two close by in the regular cue.
Cast members do frown on this even though they're not supposed to.

If you're going to do that to yourself and take your family to eat off property, I'd only got to Pizza Press.

Mimi's , Panera, McDonalds, Denny's, etc that are out there are no good, they're going to get your money already so they're not making an effort.

Finally a shout out to my favorite off property but you have to drive to spots.
Min's Dumpling House is very delicious fresh Chinese food don't be fooled by it's location.
Porto's is awesome but show up at the wrong time and the line to get it can be as long as Space Mountain.

I feel this is getting too long.

no..
theyre pretty extreme about checking residency
they'll scan all adults ID's

It's more aimed at getting locals who can get there within an hour or two to visit. While Disney is getting stupid heavy tax breaks by the local government it's not like this is a CA state government discount program.

With MaxPass, are there any additional cost for photos taken or does this essentially make the photos "free" after the MaxPass upgrade?

A couple of days ago, I posted a Walt Disney World offer. Now it's Disneyland's turn!

For a limited-time only, Disneyland is offering two categories of guests discounted admission to Disneyland Resort theme parks. Enjoy the parks for $67 per day with a purchase of a 3-Day, one park per day ticket (park hopper options are also available).

Only the "Kids" Ticket Promotion expires 13 days after first use or on May 21, 2020, whichever occurs first.
Southern California Residents Special Ticket Offer [go.com]
Eligible guests may purchase up to five tickets per person, per day, and prices are the same for adults and children. This special ticket also includes one Magic Morning,** which gives admission to select attractions on select days at Disneyland park one hour before the park opens to the general public.

Special Ticket Offer Just for Kids Everywhere [go.com]
For families visiting from outside of Southern California, there's a special value for kids ages 3-9. Guests may purchase up to eight tickets per person, per day. This special ticket also includes one Magic Morning,** which gives admission into select attractions on select days at Disneyland park one hour before the park opens to the general public.

Pro Tip: If Disney is offering this, so are all their authorized re-sellers. Definitely check their sites (Ares Travel [arestravel.com], Kayak [kayak.com], Travelocity [travelocity.com], etc) and check what exclusive incentive they are offering ON TOP of this deal for choosing them.

we've never been to disney land. Was thinking of taking the family
i have two questions.
1) is the 3 day pass 1 park per day - does that work if i use it on california adventure park on lets say a friday, then two weeks come back and do disneyland park, then a month from then go back to california adventure park? or do i have to use it consecutively 3 days ?

2) For age range of 15-30, what do you recommend to eat/do for the full experience? (so we know what places to hit first before the lines get crazy)

thanks!

Yeah, if you only need the photo aspect of MaxPass, then only one person needs to get it. They can then download the photos for free and then share with everyone else.
