It was $58 a few days back and I just received mine today. Setup was very easy with their app and huge improvement over my old modem/router.

I picked this up recently when it was briefly $55 during the last deal. Rock solid signal throughout my 1300 sq ft bi-level condo with my 200 mbps connection. The Nighthawk app is handy for monitoring things and some quick settings, but you'll still need to use the web interface for anything remotely technical.

Good router to try out first if you're bordering on the need for a mesh network for coverage. I'll be using it as a capable holdover until WiFi 6 is more mainstream.

I have this one. The WiFi works fine but for whatever reason, I'm only getting about 2 Mbps max out of each of the plug in ports. Any idea if that can be fixed?

Haven't had that issue. Personally, I'd start with a factory reset. If they doesn't work, contact customer service. If outside of warranty and still an issue, I'd install custom firmware.

I have the R7000 which is AC1900. Would this work well as an extender?

Yep. It has bridge/repeater mode built in the stock firmware.

I'm so jaded with this router since I bought the v2 not knowing how bad it is compared to the v1 and v3. I think this is a v3 so should be fine, but my v2 has a different cpu making it incompatible with third party firmware.

The range on my v2 is actually great, but the DHCP or something related just dies every 3 months and restarting the router doesn't help. I have to set a static IP, log in, and toggle the DHCP option and it works again. Very frustrating, especially initially.

The range on this thing is incredible compared to other routers I've owned. I can FaceTime all the way in my garage and it doesn't buffer or skip.

Good signal, good range. Just doesn't handle a lot of smart devices well. I suffered constant random 5ghz drops and my new router I got to replace this hasn't disconnected once.
