The power of Nintendo. Read a very interesting article about it recently. It comes from Nintendo not whoring out their first party titles and hardly ever having sales, thus making the times they are on sale a very big deal.

Kind of remarkable that a 6 year old game on a 9 year old system is considered a Slickdeal at $20.

I respectfully disagree. I would have agreed with you a few years ago but now we have Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Ultimate is the best game ever for a handheld, and yes, I consider the Switch a handheld with TV out.

That being said, I loved playing Smash 4 on my 3DS while it was the current version. As this point in time the gameplay is too slow for me compared to Ultimate. Still, this ones better for kids compared to the Switch version because of that reason.

Ultimate is a pretty slow game too. Nintendo dumbed it down so the masses could enjoy it.

Have you gone back and played 4 after playing Ultimate? I could have sworn I was playing Brawl with how slowly everything was happening. Floaty too.

IDK why this happened but when I played Smash Bros ultimate for the first time, I got bored of it after 1-2 minutes of gameplay

I had played smash bro's 3DS back in 2014ish and I had enjoyed it playing it for 20 minutes once in a while, as much as playing the same game for N64. Even more weird for the fact that I love fighting games. Maybe the ultimate' sis just too much for me, IDK...

That's the problem. You're playing the dumbed down games. Brawl was the worst rendition and the slowest of them all. 4 was a little faster and ultimate is faster than 4.

It also links to the Polygon video on YouTube, which I might have seen first.

Either way, interesting stuff.
