This is one of my favorite Audible deals, and doesn't seem to come up that often.

https://www.audible.com/ep/lto?so...0108209RKP

Offer available from January 13, 2020 at 12:00AM PT to January 31, 2020 at 11:59AM PT. This offer is not available to existing Audible members or customers who have been paid Audible members in the past 30 days. Offer applies only to an Audible annual membership sold by Audible.com. For the first year of your Audible membership, you will be charged the discounted price of $99.50

To be clear, you get 12 credits all at once, and they persist at least for a year (I think you can bank more than 12 but can't remember with this deal).

Note to existing subscribers, hotdogwater indicated that he was able to cancel and then resubscribe with this offer.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

do you get the two free titles each month, in addition to one credit?
Yes you do. I have this deal from last year and will be re-upping.

I have the one year membership from last year. I checked my account details/status and had the option to renew it at the $99.50 rate without cancellation and renewal. My account was originally scheduled to be up in April but I have already used all 12 credits. Decided to re-up with the 10% off chase promotion.
Thanks for this, worked perfectly, didn't want to cancel as I had 4 credits left over from the April deal. In the closing notification it stated that I was charged $149.50 - but only $99.50 posted on my card.

So does "No commitments. Cancel anytime" mean for example you can use 3 credits and get prorated the remaining ~$75 when you cancel or that you can just cancel and not have it renew in a year lol? I assume you would lose your credits if you canceled early as wel?

Since the cost and benefit is all up front just curious what means. Its a decent price but I'm pretty far behind on audio books i already have but there are a few i wouldn't mind preordering for later. But wont need 12.

I was hoping this would show up again. I canceled a little while before Black Friday in the hopes of something great showing up but if anything worthwhile did, I missed it. Great price to jump back in.

Just chatted with two reps, and neither would apply it to my account. They did offer discounted gold at $7.49/mo for three months. Cost per credit, it's a slightly better deal, but a bit more hassle.
Discount Annual = ~$8.30/credit
Discount Gold = ~$7.50/credit (this is the standard cancellation counter offer.)

I did it. I cancelled my $20 deal from November for 3 months. Came back and clicked on the link.
Got the $99 deal. Also, I didn't lose my book count toward the $20 credit if you listen to 3 books by March. Nice,
My net will be $80 for the year.

So just to be clear... as I'm not interested in the 2x/month Audible Originals, you get 12 credits up front, then each month you get another credit (good for any book) thus at the end of the year: 24 credits total if all used? Thanks for the help.

this seems like a good place to ask.

i stay pretty stocked on audiobooks that i like through my local library and the partnership with overdrive. does anyone see an advantage for audible while also using the library?

No, you get 12 credits all at once. The membership is billed annually.

We use both. The library is kind of a wild card - if you live in a municipality with a great system, you might not need audible. We're in an area with a smaller library, and they don't have as good a selection as others.

*edit: Forgot to conclude: If our library has it, we don't get it on audible. We use audible only for those things the library doesn't have.

No, it's only 12 credits up front, plus membership for a year. The membership gives you access to some discounts and sales.

I use overdrive. But I use audible for books overdrive doesn't have. I like biographies and history books.

I had 2 credits left and asked chat support for the deal. They tried to offer me $120 and I said no and then they finally offered the $99 and keeping my 2 credits intact. So you might have to push a bit.

I have an account with 4 credits remaining. I'm on the annual plan as is. I went onto Audible Chat and they simply renewed my membership at the $99.99 rate. I now have 16 credits. So if you are a member and don't want to cancel for whatever reason ... spend 3-4 minutes on chat to get this deal.

As a side note, still no special for platinum.
