Best Buy has the TCL 55" Series 5 on sale for 329.99. If you use coupon code TCLDOLBY15, it brings it down to $280.49. This beats the $299.99 Christmas deal.

Are these good TVs for a spare bedroom?

Thinking of using coupon and getting the TCL - 43" Class - LED - 5 Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR - Roku TV to put in my mom's bedroom. They lost the remote to the old 720p Samsung LED in the move, and while I can connect something to it to make it "smart" at less than $250 it might just be worth the less hassle of a TV with smart included.

She would be using it less than 2 months out of the year.

Is 240 motion rate better than 120 MHz or not even closer I needed it for gaming

Is this a good TV? How is it compared to the 6 series QLED?
4K content looks good, cable tv just a tad worst but honestly 720p cable looks bad on most sets. For the price this Roku is definitely a purchase.

I own last years 5 series model and it looks great. Doesn't get as bright as my Qled, but very few TVs do

240 and 120 on TVs is usually just a gimmick number. They insert dead frames to imrpove the motion effect and, deceptively, call it 240 hz or 120 depending on how many frames they insert.

This particular TV does 60 hz in real life.

That said, It has a decent rating for video games on rtings: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...st-results

Just ordered in store pickup and picked up this tv yesterday for $283.94! Any owners have any recommendations on video settings? I tried the settings on Rtings but wasn't too pleased with how it looks.

65 inch 6 series for 425... Decision time...
Yeah same here LOL. The 65" might be a touch too big for our room. But rtings says the 6 series is quite a bit brighter and handles reflections better. That would be better for our living room. A great deal on the 55 inch 6 series would be ideal.

For such little use I would think that getting a Roku device and a universal remote for the TV would be better than forking $250 for a new tv.
