I Just want to point The Yi dash cam app Is currently not compatible with IOS 13 for iPhones. This was tested on an IPhone XR and an IPhone XS Max. Your phone will not be able to view live feed nor download videos from the camera. I literally bought this 2 days ago, received it today, spent the evening trying to set it up, and failing. If you look up the Apple App Store reviews, others have same issue.

I can't comment on vid quality as I never got that far. Packed it back, ready to return it.

Everything works fine on a Samsung note 8 with android 9.

When it was first available on amazon price was about $60 last year. Was my first dedicated dash cam. I liked it but image qualify was not "crystal clear" in "any light conditions". It was nothing what Yi claimed it was. Not at 30 or 60fps. I was so disappointed ordered a replacement. Same garbage. Didn't realize 2mp sensor + low bit rate 15/20 @30/60fps is the reason for bad video quality. You can probably get a cheaper $20-30 1080/30 cam and won't see any difference. It won't be a capacitor cam. Try it, buy several different cams and compare what works best and what's reliable. Look for higher bit rate than 15-20mbps. My cheap phones can do 20Mbps @1080/30 better than Yi cam or my current garmin mini. Can't remember what galaxy S10x bit rate is @1080/30, at least 40Mb i think, but it's day and night difference compared to dash cams.
