I have 6 of these. They are good if you are only using one port, or if you use two ports with low draw devices. But if you use both ports with devices that will draw the full 10/12 watts per port then they turn to burn out easily.

I've had 2 of these burn out already.

To work around it, I disable fast charging on the phone/tablets. That seems to draw less total power from these chargers and keeps it from burning out. (still gets very warm to slightly hot to the touch when two devices are plugged in).

No need to call people dumb, just say most people don't realize something and be helpful by informing them. There's nothing dumb or wrong with not knowing something and learning about it.

At 10/20w, it needs to be made out of bakelite or some other ceramic, not plastic to even withstand the heat.

I have some larger chargers that can handle 20/24 watts without issue.
These are very small/compact. They almost fit flush with the 12v outlet.
It's just so compact, there's no room for them to put any significant cooling in it to keep it from burning up at or near full load.

I completely agree with you. Its just perplexing how they get away with it (the specifications) and yet dont do the necessary testing and product design/development. A UL certification would have resolved that, but most of these products are never UL certified.

I believe Aukey offers 2 years warranty. If they burn out i think they should/would replace them.
Aukey replaced my other devices without much hassle.

If you're in no hurry, consider these for $1.38 each shipped. QC 3.0 and a full 18W at port. OPs are not QC.

$1.38 ebay chargers scare me. I'm barely ok with a name brand 2 pack for $10 that people are saying tend to burn out. What's the $1.38 one going to do?

The good/bad fact about car chargers is that **most of the time** the worst they'll do is blow a fuse... Rather than start a fire
the bad part is that sometimes the fuse cases other stuff to go down, cause they are on the same fuse. I think one of my cars had the stereo on the same fuse

Probably the same thing, but without a US distributor+corporate padding overhead as both are made in China. But sure, sometimes you get what you pay for. Just wanted to provide another option for each person to make their own decision. Seems like pretty low risk at a much lower cost.

Sometimes the cleanly branded Amazon Prime options are just an expensive version of direct-from-china products that savvy sellers have recognized how to make a profit with.

Good find, most people are too dumb to realize aukey charges your android at super slow speed.

Get QC chargers if you have android. Samsung/LG/etc

Get aukey/any chargers if you have iPhone.

Get vooc chargers if you have oneplus/huaweii.

I would keep away from any QC charger if I plan to use my phone for some time. Even the factory chargers.
With QC you will have your phone charge in minutes and loose battery life in the same speed.
