That doesn't make sense since regular USB specs are usually driven by 2.4Amp max. If you want higher then it requires the use of PD, QC and other similar techs. Most of the products using those have USB-C ports by now, even Apple requires USB-C to lighting cable to allow 18W charge. They do so by raising voltage and lowering current that's why regular usb can't do it because it doesn't support such functions.

The original price wasn't $14.99 for the charger by itself. That price reflects the one with cable. This one was previously $6.45.

12W is max for USB-A (does not look like a USB 3.0 plug)
18W is typical for USB-C PD (fast charging)

You'd only really need more than 18W for charging maybe a ipad pro or macbook

I need many ports when traveling in our mini-van, so please clarify--will both ports do QC?

QC 3.0? That's 18W ... so only one might support it ... as long as it supports 12V 1.5A ... I think that's what QC 3.0 is. I don't see any specs about what it supports ... the USB-A is 5V 2.4A

QC 2.0 is 12W
