Solid watch. Tissot is "low-tier" in the Swatch group. Typically it would be Swatch, Tissot, Hamilton, Longines, Omega, Glashutte Original/Breguet (there are other brands too)

That being said for the price, this is a good watch with a reliable movement and sapphire crystal and exhibition caseback.

The fit/finish and details won't be as good as Longines or Omega and Beyond, but for the price its pretty solid.

I'd recommend StockX or Crown and Caliber

This is a "regulateur" model, with a single center sweep hand for minutes. Hours and seconds are displayed on the two small subdials. It is an interesting complication but may not be the best choice for a first automatic watch. Solid deal otherwise, Tissot is a respected brand.

Looks like a good deal. Can any of the watch experts comment?

I noticed the unusual arrangement of hands and they way they convey the current time, but I didn't know there was a specific name for that type of watch. Thank you for the education. The date window is also over at the 9 o'clock position, somewhat unusual. You're right this might not be the best choice as a first automatic watch, but it might warrant a place in a larger watch collection just because it's so different.

I have a different version of this one (the T-Classic, 39mm case), and it's one of my favorites. If you aren't into giant watches, Le Locle is definitely worth considering.

Is Jomashop trustworthy though? Every so often I read bad things about them.
