I hear mostly good things about Aukey, but why does Aukey seem to consistently have poor fakespot ratings? I feel like their fakespot ratings are almost always D or F.

Perhaps they have good products but also a sketchy marketing strategy which fakespot flags as questionable?

Fakespot isn't some authority on anything. They exist to get click throughs on products so they can collect the affiliate sales commission. They're often wrong and inaccurate in their data they provide.

Take those ratings with a grain of salt... they just want to get paid by you surfing through their website. Even if you don't buy the product you looked at, they can still get paid on other Amazon sales.

In regards to the deal I think it's case by case. In my experience Aukey is a wannabe Anker, yet provides some decent products at a fair price. I've have only had a couple problems with Aukey purchases vs. Anker has been fabulous. With this product and it being hooked up to your expensive laptop, you should probably buy something of a good quality.

Happy shopping.

This seems like a good deal, was waiting for one with PD but everyone always hates Aukey on here so I'm hesitant.

Any recommendation for a dual HDMI USB C dock that works with Mac? Its impossible to by Amazon reviews these days with most of them being fake and written by "buyers" who were paid to review them.

They aren't really as top. Really like another name for Anker, but cheaper quality and control

I found this exact product on review sites to get the product for free. That score is justified.

Does this work with 12" MacBook as an option vs. the more expensive and less versatile Apple adapter?

have 2 of them. both doing coil whine. often after i plug in a USB device and then remove that USB device.
really annoy.

ended up using the hootoo ones that was on sale for 20 dollars. it is silve, it light up the name, don't fit my computer and is pretty low qaulity. but it works. this is such a Shame because the Anker ones felt better and don't have the lighted brand names
