I really enjoyed this series. The individual issues were $4 if I remember correct, so this is a solid deal.

The art is very trippy and will probably look extra cool if you read it while high*.





*Do people actually read while high, though? Asking for a friend.

I tend to like the big galactic scale battles of the Marvel Universe -- Galactus, Thanos, even back to the Beyonder, Molecule Man, Dark Phoenix, Sentinels, Celestials, etc. I've been away from comics for a decade (besides the movies). Is this story along those lines (Silver Surfer often figures into these types of battles, right?) Or is it a more "intellectual", deep and nuanced story than just a bunch of cosmic powers wielders fightin' it out royal rumble style?

I like Donny Cates' work but I didn't get past issue number 1. Did the story get better in the later issues?

It was more of the same to my eyes. So if the first issue didn't click with you, you are probably better off reading something else IMHO.
